The E- RCMS were managed at the Taluk level offices with servers and other hardware that have been procured in 2005 and were obsolete and causing serious malfunction in maintaining the E-RCMS, and hence the Taluk and District Offices needed a complete hardware upgrade. The procurement of the hardware was to supplement the bad situation of hardware at the Taluk Levels for the core activity of maintaining the E-RCMS effectively.

The draft tender document for procurement through E-Tender based on the gap analysis of IT equipment requirement in the Civil Supplies Department on the basis of the HAMOS (Hardware Asset Management Software) was approved In the 7th State Project e-Mission Team meeting chaired by the Secretary, Food & Civil Supplies dated 15th July 2014. The Tender Document was submitted for the purchase of 380 Desktop Computers, 85 Multifunction printers, 81 Duplex Printers, 85 UPS & 660 Batteries by the Department, as requirement towards the computerization of the Civil Supplies Department. Accordingly Tender Document was published via e-Tender and seven companies participated in the Tender. After evaluation of Technical and Financial bids of the above companies, Purchase order was issued to M/s KELTRON for procurement of 380 Desktop Computers, 85 UPS & 660 Batteries and to Ricoh India Ltd for the procurement of 85 Multifunction printers, 81 Duplex Printers based on the decisions of the Departmental Purchase Committee. Keltron has supplied and installed 380 desktop computres and 85 UPS with 660 batteries and M/s Ricoh India Limited has supplied and installed 85 Multi-Function Printers and 81 Duplex Printers in the 85 DyCR/DSO/TSO offices in the entire state.
